Health Fund (Medical Emergency Corpus)


A. Purpose

  • Unplanned medical expenses cover करना
  • Health Insurance का supplement बनाना
  • Hospitalization, surgery, या critical illness में immediate fund उपलब्ध होना

B. Strategy

Health Insurance लेना

  • Family Floater Plan (₹5–10 लाख cover)
  • Critical Illness Cover (Extra protection for cancer, heart disease, etc.)
  • Premium को yearly pay करें ताकि discount मिले

Emergency Health Fund बनाना

  • Amount: कम से कम 6–9 महीने का खर्च + Insurance deductible amount

  • Placement:

    • 50% Liquid Mutual Fund या High-Interest Savings Account में

  • Long-term (5–15 years) → Equity + Debt mix use करें

Amount Estimate करें

  • आज की cost निकालें (e.g., ₹15 लाख)

  • Inflation adjust करें: Formula → Future Cost = Present Cost × (1 + Inflation Rate)^Years

    • Example: ₹15 लाख, 7% inflation, 10 साल बाद ≈ ₹29.5 लाख

Investment Plan

  • 0–5 years:

    • Recurring Deposit, Short-term Debt Funds, Liquid Funds
  • 5+ years:

    • 60–70% Equity Mutual Funds (Index Funds / Large Cap)
